Owner Shirley Cameron is ably assisted by the two Margarets - Margaret Hunt and Margaret Abbot.

Mrs. Cameron has been an Antique Dealer for nearly thirty years, travelling extensively overseas to build a comprehensive knowledge of the industry. She has attended art fairs locally and internationally, and spoken on Radio Talkback and at dozens of antique roadshows. Her extensive experience is on hand to answer any queries you may have.

Margaret Abbot has been with Country Charm for seven years and says it is a lovely shop to work in. As she notes, "It is set out beautifully, on a par with London and other big cities." Margaret is also the driving passion behind the shop's beautiful and original vintage outfits. These are popular with people making the annual pilgrimage to the Hawkes Bay Art Deco weekend, along with weddings and other formal and informal occasions, with the women's fur coats being particularly desirable. Country Charm also played a hand in dressing the actors for Peter Jackson's King Kong.

Margaret Hunt has lived in the Wairarapa since emigrating from Hertfordshire, England in 1966.
She's been with Country Charm for the past 11 years, with her training as a bespoke tailor coming in extremely handy for customers interested in clothing. Among Country Charm's treasures, she points out, is its huge range of dinner sets including Royal Worcester China, Caltonware and Royal Doulton.
